Daft Punk is fun but not a favorite of mine so I wasn’t going to buy the TRON: Legacy soundtrack. That was until I read Hans Zimmer helped out on it. He sold me!

Haha…you guys are so awesomely awkward!

Next time you should continue the Christmas thread with a discussion of non-traditional Christmas movies. Die Hard, Batman Returns, etc. Should these movies be celebrated seasonally and included with favorites Christmas Vacation, Peanuts, etc? I know I think so.

As a matter of fact, we do have something like that lined up. Wait. Is “awesomely awkward” a compliment?!! So much for those “sounding cool on a podcast” lessons.

Is that the same as “speak like you’re English” lessons? Haha. Yes, very much a compliment. I liked it.

Sounding cool on a podcast and speaking like you’re English are one and the same, in my opinion. That’s why the British have such cool podcasts.

      Don’t forget Gremlins.

Yes! I’ll see your Gremlins with Ghostbusters II and Rocky IV…and raise you Trading Places. This really should happen.

I see your Trading Places and raise you a Hudsucker Proxy.

So Gremlins and Scrooged…perhaps Batman Returns or Nightmare Before Christmas? Also, I would be remiss to leave Brazil (1985) out of this list. I would describe it as a dark, Orwellian, sci-fi comedy. And certainly Christmas is an integral part of all the sort of anti-consumerism and a sort of robotic sense of Christmas cheer.
